The son of a racing driver, Ernie Francis Jr. was “practically born in the sport.”

The South Florida-based, Haitian American driver began racing at the age of 4, as Ernie Jr. followed his father’s footsteps and inherited his passion for the art of racing automobiles.

Using mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills learned from his father as he grew up at the Breathless Pro Racing family business, he became one of the most successful drivers in the Trans Am Series racing with seven championships. Now he turns his focus to open-wheel racing.

In addition to Trans Am Series, Ernie has raced in sports cars in the GT World Challenge America (formerly Pirelli World Challenge), NASCAR ARCA East (formerly K&N Pro Series East), NASCAR Xfinity Series, Superstar Racing Experience (where he finished second in the championship) and Formula Regional Americas Championship.

When Ernie isn’t racing, he enjoys working on cars, going to the gym, BBQing (his specialty is steak) and watching sports with friends. His favorite driver is Dale Earnhardt Jr.
